Pie saved my life

Ok first of all I am referring to the mathematical symbol not the edible treat. Sorry fat people. Actually while im still addressing the fat, eating too much pie will actually do the opposite of saving your life.

Now for those who will consider me a hypocrite for giving fat people advice. I'm pudgy. Theres a difference! Just had to clear that out!

Ok let me drop the banter and get straight to the point. I am going to go ahead and be a daring bustard by scrutinizing the education system!

.. If you are laughing at me, fuck you, be patient and give me a chance! Jeez.

I just feel like in school we are pretty much fed a fuck load of useless information. I mean come on. Who has ever gained a substantial amount of knowledge from say R.E (religious studies)? The only thing I was taught was the Sikh people wear turbans and funky shorts, Muslims fast for a month every year and a story about Krishna, which I have now forgotten. Bad Ahmad!

I could rant on about many subjects. I could complain about how selective the curriculum for History was and all you learned about was the Slave trade and the Holocaust. Yes their both really important moments in History that children should be taught about but history consists of so much more! Oops I just accidentally ranted on again! My bad.

I believe real "life skills" should be taught to a greater extent. I'm talking about subjects teaching kids how to manage money, how to keep healthy, educating them about the problems their own societies face rather than wasting an hour or two on a lesson that teaches children no useful skills for the world they will soon face.

Yes the core subjects should remain but the way they are taught must change. GCSE Maths makes a child focus on rather complex maths whilst only tickles the basics. To date I have never ever found my self in a situation where the Pythagoras theory was needed yet the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide effectively and quickly could prove useful to us nearly on a daily basis.

I believe the 5 years in school should be about ensuring that every student knows the basics of every core subject flawlessly and is taught genuinely useful skills than can be applied to the real world. Yes sir!

The complex parts of these subjects should be left for college. Let me know what you think in the comment section bellow. Mwah
