The death of Banter

Why can't we take a joke? Why must we get so emotional over little jokes? In the famous words of the Joker "why so serious" well, why are we so serious rather. What makes people so angry? Why are we all so self conscious? Why do care so much about what people think? Why do we pride our selves over all this?

I learned over time that people just don't have it in them to just laugh at them self's. Yeah laughing at your self seems like an action a person with very little self respect would take part in. No. Theres nothing wrong with hearing a joke about your self. Truth is if we weren't so ashamed of who we are and were more confident in our selves then we would have no problem what so ever taking a small joke.

I remember in school being around friends that used to really, I mean brutally take the piss out of each other. We didn't beat each other up. We didn't throw tantrums! We didn't angry. It was a laugh. Why can't people do this being older?

It sucks to see society so up tight and negative. Why must we all be such egotistical miserable tools.
