If you anything between say 18-23 years old, your childhood fell in the "Golden days".
The Golden age? How can you say that Ahmad!? Kids these days grow up with Facebook and ultra sophisticated phones and things!
Well yeah thats my point. When we were really young we had to make our own fun. We used what little had, anything from twigs to just plain paper to make games, to pretend and to be creative and used these things together with our imagination and had a blast doing it!
Even take lego for example! Now Lego seems to be about converting a set of instructions into an object. Back when I was young (gosh i sound old) it was more about having a set of blocks and making what you could out of them! AHH i do love Lego!
All this said, we also got to witness tons of technological advancements. We saw the first mobile, the first ipod, we saw computers grow into machines that catered to all kinds of needs and wants, we witnessed 8 bit turn into HD graphics and so much more.
We have seen the world advance and change into what it is and we got to experience it all first hand. Only we can truly appreciate the worth of all this technology yet we can also talk about all those activities and games we played being young and how we could turn a basic garden into a means of hours of enjoyment.
You just don't see kids playing on the streets like we used to. I'm not saying kids these days are epically boring and spend all their time social networking from the age of two but it is very fair to say they just dont know how to have fun like we did.
We saw the world grow and change and where able to switch from our gardens and scooters to computers and MP3's at the optimum age because it was all available to us just at the right time! So if you are any of the ages i mentioned, smile, you are part of an epic generation. If your not .. your either to old to be reading this blog or too young and should be on msn discussing homework and other school stuff.
